My review of the "On Fire Tour" 5/11/12

I was so excited to finally see the "On Fire Tour," last Friday! This is the one big concert that I had been waiting for since February! And let me tell you, it did not disappoint one bit! I love the fact that Miranda brought Jerrod and Chris on tour with her because they are two great guys who know how to get the fans ready for an awesome show.

I keep telling my friends that Jerrod, Chris and Miranda are three of my favorite people! I haven't seen Miranda in concert since the CMT Revolution tour (which was back in 2010). She is my idol and one of my favorite people. Seeing her last Friday made me realized again why I love country music so much!

Jerrod got the concert going around 7:30 and he never disappoints. I don't think I need to write a whole big paragraph on Jerrod because the only new song that I got to hear was "Real Women Drink Beer!" Great song and if you get a chance, go buy one of the "Real Women Drink Beer," tshirts at the merchandise booth! And I'm kinda hoping that song will be is next single. Everyone in the audience knew the songs "One More Drinkin' Song," "What Do You Want," and "Lover,Lover." His new single "Shinin' On Me," is climbing the charts so don't forget to request the song!

Next up was of course the fantastic Mr. Chris Young! He started off with "Save Water, Drink Beer," and man did the crowd go NUTS! Chris is such a great guy to see in concert! Another song he did was a new one that unless you have the Neon album, you probably haven't heard it cause it's not a single on the radio yet. But a lot of people on twitter had been requesting "When She's On."  Awesome song and it's even more awesome when Chris performs it live!

Other songs that he sang that night were his hits "Tomorrow," "The Man I Want To Be," "Getting You Home," and of course his new single, ":Neon." The video for that song is already out and it's slowly climbing the charts so don't forget to request it! He finished off the set list with "Who's Gonna Take Me Home," "You," and "Tomorrow."

Miranda Lambert...wow... I love seeing her in concert! She got the crowd going with "Fastest Girl in Town," and the concert just got more exciting after that with "Kerosene," "Dead Flowers." "Famous In A Small Town." "Baggage Claim," and of course her new #1 hit, the emotional song, "Over You." I don't think there was a dry eye in the house during that song (I know my eyes weren't dry, that's for sure).

The best part of the night was when Miranda talked about the seating arrangement at the Grammy's and how  she and Blake ended up sitting next to Lady Gaga. There were a couple of "boos," and she did not like that one bit! But the big question that Lady Gaga asked them was if people fight in country music and Miranda smiled and said, "Oh no, we're all good friends." I think she was trying not to say anything about the stuff that Eric Church (she probably is still holding a grudge from what he said)had said in the Rolling Stones article. But then started to sing "Only Prettier."

Miranda then brought out Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley, and then we had all three members of Pistol Annies on stage! They started off singing their hit song "Hell on Heals, " which is also nominated for a CMT Award!  Loved getting to hear their songs "Bad Example," "The Hunter's Wife," and "Takin Pills."

Miranda came back on stage and got it back to rocking with "Rock n Roll, cootchie coo," "All Kinds of Kinds," and then sang the very emotional song, "The House That Build Me." I was thinking she was going to stop through the song and let audience finish the song. But to my surprise, Miranda held her own and got through it. Miranda ended her set with the ever popular song "Gunpowder and Lead." After that she brought Pistol Annies, Jerrod Niemann and Chris Young back onstage for an encore!

I must say the On Fire tour was just amazing! Loved every minute of it! If I could go back to Friday and relive that day, oh I would!!
